Relationship
I am the second son of Harris Quesnell and Linda (Jupp) Quesnell, born in the city of La Mesa in San Diego County on July 19th, 1975.[1][2]
I met my soulmate, Dina, in September of 1993, during the first quarter of our freshman year together at the University of California at Davis (UCD). We eventually got married on August 28th, 1999 at the MountainGate Country Club in Los Angeles, California.[3]

Education

Following High School, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from the University of California at Davis (UCD) in June of 1997. I then enrolled at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), School of Dentisty, ultimately receiving a DDS degree in June of 2001.
After completing a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in 2002 (also at UCLA), I Journeyed out to the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) School of Dentistry, earning my specialty certificate in Endodontics by the summer of 2004.

Career

Following graduation, I have since been practicing Endodontics back in my hometown of San Diego, California. I also teach part time at San Diego State University (SDSU), as well as practice & intstruct students at the University of California at San Diego's (UCSD) free Dental Clinic as a Voluntary Clinical Instructor / Faculty Appointee within the Department of Family Medicine.

Family

Having grown up in Rancho Peñasquitos (in San Diego), my family now resides in the nearby city of Del Mar. My interest in genealogy began a few years ago during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Amongst all the uncertainty and fear, I was extremely fortunate to have been given an opportunity to speak more often with my then 96 year old grandmother, Margaret (Bergamo) Jupp, than at any other time in my life. She was, righteously so, the undisputed Matriarch of our extended family, and embodied all of the intelligence and wisdom compelled by her role. As an ardent and lifelong student of history, she encouraged (or more accurately tasked) me with thoroughly studying our own family's ancestry. I was more than happy to comply.
What I discovered was (what I believe) a very rich cultural heritage, one that was never mentioned or disclosed in any way by either of my grandparents or great aunts or uncles. Perhaps with a grandfather named William Bradford Jupp, and a great grandmother carrying the Bartlett surname, the fault is entirely of my own. I do know they were aware of nearly all of family's history, but I can only speculate as to why it was kept secret. What I am confidant of, however, is that they had a very resolute logic behind not divulging our descent from the Founding Fathers, Mayflower Families, Magna Carta Barons and European Royalty. Perhaps to encourage our fully independent achievement and experience of humility over entitlement throughout our lives:

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways. - Ezekiel 18:30

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your contributions to Puritan Great Migration (PGM) project profiles.

Like all WikiTree projects we check in with team members periodically to find out about their continued interest in the project. Would you please respond by February 12, 2024, to let us know about your interest:

1. Would you like to continue as a PGM project team member?;

2. Do you have any suggestions for PGM Project priorities in the next year (optional)?;

3. Do you have interest in taking a more active role within the PGM project, and if so, what you might be interested in doing (optional)?

Please respond to this comment on your profile, or if you'd like, send a private message to either Bobbie (Madison) Hallor S (Hill) Willson.

Thanks for all you do for PGM and WikiTree!

Regards,

Bobbie and Sharon, Co-Leaders, Puritan Great Migration Project

Hi there Bobbie and Sharon,

I full heartedly wish to remain as a PGM Member, as I have used most of my time thus far getting up to speed with the high quality standards of the Project. Moving forward, after completing a few profiles (with as much guidance as you two can muster), I would like to take a much more active role within the group, engaging more research wise, as well as participating as much as you two feel is justified.

I appreciate and admire all you both have accomplished so far!

Hope you and your family are all doing well during and after the 2024 Great San Diego flood. Giant hugs, cousin! Adding you'all to my prayer list.

Hello Brian,

Could you please quote me the source for your site indicating Nicolas Chasnu's marriage to Marguerite de la Vigne please. As far as myself and many others Nicolas Chesnay (Chasnu) married Catherine de la Vigne and not Marguerite de la Vigne. I am a direct descendant of Nicolas Chesnay (Chasnu). I'd be most interested in hearing from you.

Hi Brian!! Thank you for your consistent improvement of WikiTree by participation in the Sourcerers Project during 2023!
Sourcerers' Challenge Wise Owl Yearly Golden Achievement Milestone for 1 sourced profile tracked every month
Brian Quesnell reached the Golden Achievement milestone by sourcing at least one profile in every month of the 2023 Sourcerers Project Sourcerers' Challenge.
Brian - I just finished (1) adding a discussion of the results of my research re the questionable marriage of Sarah Rogers to William Taylor and Sarah's questionable parentage, to Sarah and William's profiles and (2) proposing disconnecting her from William and her parents in comments on their profiles and G2G. Next step will be the wait to make sure there are no reasonable objections, disconnect them, and get project protection from the England project for William's profile and her parents profiles to prevent any reconnection.

William Taylor is the ancestor of multiple PGM Jowett/Jewett PGM immigrants and Sarah's "parents" are descended from 50+ European monarchs (according to WikiTree and Ancestor Explorer), so the detachment will get rid of lots of incorrect lines back to royalty (including a much of mine).

This is my first run through the process, so I'm eager to see if it works and whether any improvements can be made. LMK if you have any thoughts/suggestions.

Hi Brian! I happened to catch the surnames, Bartlett and Lincoln in the Wiki newsfeed today because I have both in my family tree. My lines have all stayed in New England, mostly here in Massachusetts. I’ve come to the conclusion that we’re not big on uprooting our roots!

Anyway, my Bartlett line starts with Benjamin and my Lincoln with “Sam the Weaver” Lincoln who came from Hingham, England to Hingham, Mass in the 1600’s. Let me know if either of those sound familiar to you and I’d be more than happy to give you any info I have. I was fortunate to have a great grandmother who kept a handwritten family tree. ~ carol

Hey Carol, I sent this to you via Private Message, but I will post it here as well just in case it did not go through:

Hi there Carol!

Thanks so much for reaching out to me on this fantastic website & community. Boy we have so many great and inspirational surnames in common. Any list including the Lincoln's, Bartletts, Ballous, Hutchinsons, Thayers and multiple Mayflower ancestors is quite impressive, Samuel Lincoln as well as the Benjamin Bartlett you described are both direct decedents of mine and , in the case of Benjamin, appear in multiple different independent routes; as the Bartletts make up by far the moat common name in my lineage lineage.

I would be so honored if you shared some of the historical information you have undoubtable had an arduous time attaining, especially your great grandmother's record keeping, As you certainly know, that is genealogical GOLD!!

I really do appreciate any help you can offer, as I am relatively new to this field, but trying to learn as fast as possible. I do know enough though to realize you have a amplify supply of Royal Blood and should probably be in the official line of succession to be the Sovereign of Great Britain!!!

Thanks so much again, and we should definitely stay in touch for both sharing of sources and overall support throughout our genealogical journeys,

Hi Brian!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Staci ~ WikiTree Pre-1700 Greeter

Thank you Staci for the advice. I will certainly heed your call, and hopefully be able to match the excellent quality of most of the deep rooted ancestor profiles I've seen so far!

Greetings fellow Bartlett enthusiast! Just a bit of extra help in looking for Bartletts.

Thanks for the warm welcome Sherry! I My 2nd Great Grandmother was Fannie Bartlett (of Detroit, MI), who was the daughter of James Walker Bartlett (of Concord, MA) and Achsah Ballou (of Bristol, NH). When I applied to the Mayflower Society, they told me only one other person (out of over 120,000 applications), used anything close to my line (a sister of Fannie). Despite her carrying our family to at least one gateway ancestor (Mary Gye), no one in my extended family had any idea of the rich history of the Bartlett lineage. I am hoping to change that! I applied for the Bartlett Society already and will definitely check out the home page you referenced.

Again, so very nice to meet you and it would be really cool to keep in touch!

That is him, and I will adopt it and add his wife since I have sourced their birth, marriage and death records.I just haven't had the time yet to fill out the rest of my lineage that isn't on the site yet. I think I have just two more lines to get to him. Thanks for checking!
