Mission
First Responders (Emergency Responders) are those who have specialized training in the protection and preservation of life, property, evidence, and the environment. These personnel are among the first to arrive and provide assistance at the scene of an emergency, such as an accident, natural disaster, or terrorist attack. First responders typically include paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers, firefighters, rescuers, and other trained members of organisations connected with this type of work.
The First Responders Project's mission is to honor the lives, and highlight the profiles, of First Responders worldwide. In some cases, we honors those who died during the course of their duties, or what is commonly called a Line of Duty Death (LODD).
