Richard was named in the 1369 will of his mother. [1] He was also named in the 1374 will of his brother Thomas. [2]
Richard held the manor of West Dean, Sussex.
He was knighted by Richard II at his coronation on 16 July 1377. [3]
He accompanied John of Gaunt on an expedition to Spain and died there.
