Son of Arbra Powers and Naomi Mathews, m. 7 Nov 1865, Abbie M Ireland; lawyer at Granite Falls, Minn. Gorham enlisted in the Maine 4th Light Artillery Battery. He was wounded. A graduate of Brown University and Union University of New York. Judge, 12th Judicial District, Minnesota. Minnesota Senator in 1879.
