Annie was twin to Herbert After the death of her father Annie and herbert were placed in the Railway Serants Orphange St Christopher’s , Derbyshire.

Annie worked at Madam Clapham’s the famous Hull Dressmaker. She was a hand embroiderer.

She continued as a dressmaker all her life often making bridal wear for the local community.
