James was born about 1839. He passed away in 1912. His wife was Miss Elizabeth Egale, of Bungendore. Deceased is survived by two sons — Mr. D. Pollack, Naugus, Mr. James Pollack, Tarrabandra — and two daughters — Mrs. Wheatley, South Gundagai, and Miss Pollack, West Wyalong. He also leaves a brother, Mr. D. Pollack, now residing in Sydney.^[1]

Adelong and Tumut Express and Tumbarumba Post (NSW : 1900 - 1925), Friday 22 November 1912, page 3. ^[2] A half-century's residence of the district, Mr, Jas Pollack, of South Gundagai, died on Saturday last. He had been bedridden for a number of years and was 83 years of age. His wife was Miss Elizabeth Egale, of Bungendore. Deceased is survived by two sons — Mr. D. Pollack, Naugus, Mr. James Pollack, Tarrabandra — and two daughters — Mrs. Wheatley, South Gundagai, and Miss Pollack, West Wyalong — and a number of grand-children. He also leaves a brother, Mr. D. Pollack, now residing in Sydney.
