James was born in 1828. He is the son of Andrew Pollack and Elizabeth Boyle.

James was born about 1839. He passed away in 1912. His wife was Miss Elizabeth Egale, of Bungendore. Deceased is survived by two sons — Mr. D. Pollack, Naugus, Mr. James Pollack, Tarrabandra — and two daughters — Mrs. Wheatley, South Gundagai, and Miss Pollack, West Wyalong. He also leaves a brother, Mr. D. Pollack, now residing in Sydney.[1]

Adelong and Tumut Express and Tumbarumba Post (NSW : 1900 - 1925), Friday 22 November 1912, page 3. [2] A half-century's residence of the district, Mr, Jas Pollack, of South Gundagai, died on Saturday last. He had been bedridden for a number of years and was 83 years of age. His wife was Miss Elizabeth Egale, of Bungendore. Deceased is survived by two sons — Mr. D. Pollack, Naugus, Mr. James Pollack, Tarrabandra — and two daughters — Mrs. Wheatley, South Gundagai, and Miss Pollack, West Wyalong — and a number of grand-children. He also leaves a brother, Mr. D. Pollack, now residing in Sydney.
