Mrs. Kruse was a 1947 graduate of Harding High School, Fairport Harbor. She also attended Kent State University. She was married in 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fairport Harbor. Mrs. Kruse was employed as a part-time then full-time teller serving at many Lake County National Bank offices. Prior to her 1992 retirement she was head teller at the Shoregate Office of Bank One. Mrs. Kruse was a member of and worshipped at Bethel Lutheran Church, Willowick; active in the Ladies' Aid Society and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was a member of and volunteered for Lutheran Brotherhood, now Thrivent Fiancial for Lutherans, a fraternal benefit society. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; son, Jon P., Sr. (Carol) of Willoughby Hills; daughters, Susan (Jeffrey) Troutman of Painesville, Dr. Beth Kruse (Thomas) Moore of Sandy Springs, GA. and Carol (Sherman) Hawkins of Roswell, GA.; eight grandchildren; brother, Rodney of Painesville; sister, Doris (Carl) Berwaldt of Painesville; many nieces and nephews; and most supportive friends, Ted and Louise Anderson of Willowick. Preceded in death by: her parents, Charles and Susan (nee Hilberg) Pohto; stepmother, Lemppi (nee Kitinoja); brothers, infant Ero and Carl Edwin; sister, Viola; and grandson, Aaron Kruse. VISITATION AT TWO LOCATIONS: SATURDAY, SEPT. 6, 2-5 P.M. AT POTTI FUNERAL HOME, 538 FIFTH ST., FAIRPORT HARBOR, AND SUNDAY, SEPT. 7, 2-4 AND 7-9 P.M. AT MONREAL FUNERAL HOME, 35400 CURTIS BLVD. (NEW LOCATION), EASTLAKE (AT RTS. 2 AND 91). ARRANGEMENTS BY POTTI FUNERAL HOMES. Her funeral will be Monday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 32410 Willowick Dr. (at Vine St.), Willowick. Interment is at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland.
