Hugh Reilly and Emma Belinda Pluck were married after banns at St Mary's, Newington, Surrey on 25th December 1875[2]. They were bachelor and spinster and both of full age. Hugh was an engineer living in Blackman Street who was the son of Hugh Reilly who was a miner. Emma was living in The Lane and the daughter of George Pluck, deceased. The witnesses to the marriage were Jos. Geo. Pluck and Susan Pluck[3].
Second Marriage
Hugh Hammill Nelson and Emma Belinda Reilly were married in 1887[4].
Emma Nelson, 59, married 35 years with 4 children born alive to the marriage and all still living, born in Witham, Essex was working as a cook (domestic) in the household of Florence Daly.
On the 1911 census Emma stated that she had been married 35 years - giving about 1876 which aligns to her marriage to Hugh Reilly in 1875 rather than the marriage of her second husband.
