Charles, son of Thomas Pitman, dairyman, & Marianne Pitman, of Woolston, was baptized on 9 October 1836 in North Cadbury, Somerset, England.[1]
In the 1841 census Charles (age 4) was in Hamlet of Woolston, North Cadbury, Wincanton, Somerset, England.[2]
In the 1851 census Charles (age 14), Farmers son, was the son of Thomas Pitman in Lower Woolston, North Cadbury, Wincanton, Somerset, England.[3]
A licence for the marriage at North Cadbury of Charles Pitman, bachelor of North Cadbury, age 21 years, a publican, to Mary Anne Bull, aged 21, spinster of North Cadbury, was granted by the Diocese of Bath and Wells on 7 July 1863.[4]
