Biography

Lorenzo Stowell Peterson was born on April 14, 1896 in an LDS Mexican colony in Colonia Díaz, Chihuahua, Mexico. His parents were Frands Peter Petersen and Ane Katrina Louise Henriksdatter, both born in Denmark.

During the Mexican Revolution, his family, along with other Mormon colonists, were driven out of Mexico. They eventually settled in Blanding, San Juan County, Utah.

He married Ida Mae Turley on November 1, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.[1][2][3]

  9. George Frands Peterson was born on June 11, 1935 in Blanding.
  10. Peggy Lou Peterson was born on August 30, 1937 in Blanding.
  11. Doris Peterson was born on September 27, 1942 in Blanding.

In 1930 he lived in Tooele, Tooele County, Utah with his family. In 1940 he lived in Blanding.

His wife died in 1959.[4]

Lorenzo passed away at an age of seventy-six on October 21, 1972. He is buried in the Blanding Cemetery.[5]
