Biography

Lorenzo Stowell Peterson was born on April 14, 1896 in an LDS Mexican colony in Colonia Díaz, Chihuahua, Mexico. His parents were Frands Peter Petersen and Ane Katrina Louise Henriksdatter, both born in Denmark.

During the Mexican Revolution, his family, along with other Mormon colonists, were driven out of Mexico. They eventually settled in Blanding, San Juan County, Utah.

He married Ida Mae Turley on November 1, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.^[1][2][3]

In 1930 he lived in Tooele, Tooele County, Utah with his family. In 1940 he lived in Blanding.

His wife died in 1959.^[4]

Lorenzo passed away at an age of seventy-six on October 21, 1972. He is buried in the Blanding Cemetery.^[5]
