Biography

Gilbert was born 11 Mar 1846 and was baptized the same day in Yamaska (St-Michel). He was the son of Bénoni Pepin and Bibiane Parenteau. Godparents were maxime Proulx and Sophie Pepin, the father signs the register: Bénoni Pepin. ^[1]

On 10 Jul 1866, in Yamaska (St-Michel) Gilbert Pepin minor son of Bénoni Pepin and Bibiane Parenteau married Elizabeth Bibeau minor daughter of Louis Bibeau and Bibiane Cournoyer. Witnesses included both fathers, several signatures but the bride and groom could not sign. ^[2]

Gilbert Pepin, 78 year old widower of Elizabeth Bibaud, was buried 23 May 1925. DOD not specified, date prior to burial used as proxy. Several signatures in the register. ^[3]
