Biography
Joshua was born in 1806. He is the son of Benjamin Pendleton and Lucy Frink.
In his younger days he took much interest in military affairs, and in May 1830 he was commissioned 1st Lieutenant in the Washington Guard, 5th. Regt. Rhode Island Militia; the following year he was 1st Lieutenant in the 3rd Regt.. and in Jun 1832. he was made Captain of the Washington Guard 5th Regt. Militia.(R. I. He married 1818 Hannah Larkin, w/children.
