Patterson— Woodbridge
The marriage of Betty youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Pattinson, of Roberts Street, Narandera, to L.A.C. Gordon Woodbridge, second eldest son of Mr. and Mrs G. Woodbridge, of Cairns, Queensland, was celebrated at St. Thomas' Church of England, Narandera, on 4th February.
The. Rev. J. O. Were officiated.
"The Wedding March", was played by Mrs. Rawling as the bride entered the church, escorted by her father.
The bride wore a two-piece suit of white sparvoa with a dainty white toque and veil to match. She carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds, carnations and ferns, and wore a gold pendant, the gift of the Bridegroom.
The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. F. Rankins, as matron of honour, who wore a pale green ridglow frock and a large picture hat and carried a bouquet of English marigolds and ferns she wore a gold A.I.F. pendant, a gift from the bridegroom.
The best man was L.A.C. Nelson, a friend of the bridegroom.
The reception was held at the Australia Cafe, where the guests were received by the bride's mother, who was attired in a black and white sheer frock and accessories to match, and carried a posy of red rosebuds and crepe myrtles.
The main table decoration was a two-tier wedding cake, made by the bride's sister, Mrs. Rankins. During the reception several telegrams were read.
The happy couple left for Queensland, where they will make their home. L.A.C. Woodbridge is stationed at Amberly. [2]
