Jane Patrick[1]
was born about 1665 in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.
In about 1682, in Ireland, Jane married Hugh Montgomery, and they had five children:[2]
↑ There is some debate over the surname of Hugh's wife. Oral Montgomery (1987, Vol. 3, p. 2) calls her Jane Patrick (est. birth, not later than 1673), but indicates the name is "not proven" and does not specify that her husband was Hugh, calling him only "Mr. Montgomery". This appears to be the source of the Jane Patrick mentioned in CSMI and Monty Hist Notes. David B. Montgomery (1903) mentions no Jane Patrick, but does mention a Jane Hamilton (~1652-1689), who appears to be the wife, not of a Hugh Montgomery, but of a Hans (p. 39), the son of Hugh Montgomery (~1635-1707). Another name that has been suggested is Jane Edgar, which a note at CMSI attributes to David B. Trimble. Trimble, however, mentions no Jane Edgar, nor any Hugh that could be identified with the subject of this profile.
↑ This list conforms to what is found at CMSI and Monty Hist Notes, and these five are the only children mentioned by Oral Montgomery.
↑ This date and place of death is from CMSI and Monty Hist Notes. There is no evidence that this Jane ever came to America.

It is likely that these
autosomal DNA

Patrick-4077 and Patrick-1593 appear to represent the same person because: The newest one has no primary sources, but the dates, places and spouse are the same. Appears to be an accidentally created duplicate.
Patrick-1593 and Patrick-2008 do not represent the same person because: Jane/Jeanette and Hugh are common names. And that it is repeated in religiously in families is not uncommon. These Jane/Jeanette are 20 years difference in ages.
