An ancestry tree lists father as Richard Parsell b. abt. 1690 Newtown, Queens, New York, d. 20 Aug 1782 Berwick Township, York County, PA. son of John Parsell and Maria Burnham; and mother as Hilletje Brokaw 1704-1760, daughter of Isaac Bragaw and Hilletje Jans.
Married abt. 1771 in Adams County, Pennsylvania to Maria Jacomyntie Smock (1748-1810). Left two sons:
- John 1783
- Richard 1779. Richard married Margaretta Brinkerhoff. [4]
