I am Nina Overhiser. I was adopted at birth by the Overhiser's in 1947. I have searched the old fashion way back in1979- 1980, for10 years and finally found my biological mother. A loving mother . Unfortunately she had a mental block of the natural father so I have no information there. Only here say of events. Currently i have found information back to the grandfather. I have family information on grandmothers relatives. I would love to learn more on both sides of my family. Grandfather came over from Germany in 1912 and grandmother came over from Czech republic and most of her relatives and 10 children stayed there. Would love to learn all about that. Love the computer age !!! California Birth Index, 1905-1995 Birthdate: 24 Jan 1947; Birth County: Alameda
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

See you in the branches --
David - Wiki Greeter
A warm welcome to the Wikitree Family. By now you will have received an email with useful links to get you started. Take your time and browse the site to see what Wikitree has to offer.
Wikitree is different, because we have one goal: To have one big Global tree. This means we have one profile per person, and we collaborate as one big team.
When you confirm your email address, you will have the opportunity to volunteer by adding tags to your profile. These should contain what interests you in your genealogy: surnames, locations, etc.
A Greeter will then confirm your membership, and you will be able to start adding your information.
We are all volunteers here and happy to help if you need it.
I look forward to seeing you in the tree :)
Happy researching
Wendy?
Hello and welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you've ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you'd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you'll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you'll be on your way!
Welcome to the family! We're really glad you're here.
