John was born in 1914. He was the son of Edward Osborn and Priscilla Braddy. He passed away in 1981.
Although John was only 5'1" tall he enlisted in the army for service in WW2. He never served overseas because when he was due to board the ship, the war ended, so he stayed here.
After the war John's occupation was a Metal Polisher & Plater. He later worked for the Nunawading Concil as a plumber. John was also an active member of the RSL. John collapsed and died at the Blackburn Primary school when he was about to cast his vote at an election in August.[1]
