Biography

Martha Orme was born in Cheshire, England.

Martha was the daughter of James Orme and Jane Clarke and the seventh of twelve children. She was baptised on 15th February 1824 at St Michael's Macclesfield, the church where her mother and all her siblings were baptised. The family abode was in Macclesfield.^[1]

By 1839 the family had moved to Congleton, Cheshire. See her father's profile for more information.

Martha passed in 1840 and was buried in Congleton on 17th April that year , aged just 16 years.^[2]
