Biography

Martha Swain was born on the 6th October 1793 at Margate, Kent, England[1] and baptised 11th November 1793 at St. John the Baptist, Margate, Kent, England, the daughter of Richard Orfin and Mary Orfin.

Martha Offen, spinster of St. Laurence in Thanet, married William Jeary of the parish of Lambeth in Surrey, on the 15th November 1814 at St. Laurence in Thanet, Ramsgate, Kent, England. Witnessed by William Oclee and Mrs. Charlotte Oclee.[2]

By 1816, Martha and William were living at Broadway, Westminster, Middlesex[3].
