John White, bricklayer, appeared on the com plaint of Rebecca Pike, of Bowden, for using threatening language, and otherwise putting her in bodily fear.
His Worship bonnd him over to keep the peace for £10 in his own recognisance.

John White was charged with violent and abusive conduct
Mr Walker appeared for complainant.
Rebecca Pike, wife of Wm Pike, Bowden said prisoner came and demanded dinner on Sunday last, between one and two o'clock, but, after it was got ready, he would not take it ????? burst the door open ; he exposed himself, and made use of abominable language; he threatened her husband's life ; when he is tipsy, we are not safe. Wm. Pike corroborated his wife's testimony.

Rebecca died in 1865, at Adelaide, South Australia. [5]

William Pike, Rebecca Rose nee Olliver, Caroline, Frances, John, Robert, and Elizabeth arrived in South Australia on the 21st of March, 1839 via the ship Buckinghamshire (departed from London 11 December, 1838 via Plymouth).[6][7]
