Research Notes

Note: A birth date of 1830 (or later) for Sidney Charles Pike (1846-1901) (who has been said to be his son) would make William, the father, only 16 years old when Sidney was born ...... This is very unlikely !

(Pike-5935 05:06, 19 January 2021 (UTC)): I have been unable to find any records (birth, death or marriage) for a Sidney Malone Pike anywhere in the world in either FamilySearch, FindMyPast, or Australian online BDM records, nor any connections to William Pike and his wife, Rebecca Rose (Oliver) Pike (who were married in 12 Sep 1826 at Eling, Hampshire, England, and arrived in South Australia on 21 March 1839 with their children; Caroline, Frances, John, Robert, Elizabeth, aged between 10 and 1 years) so it is disputable that he was their son!
