Biography

James was born in Ireland, then moved over to the UK, he came with two other Nixon's, their names unknown, but believed to be siblings. James has had three marriages in total, 2 of his wives died with a fever, He finally married in Wortley, Yorkshire 1868 and went on to have their children. His father is James also, mother unknown at this time.

James was born about 1828.

On 4 June 1860, James Nixon, full age, of Wortley Bank, married Emma Corbett, of full age, of Wortley Bank, at Tankersley, Yorkshire, England. James was the son of James, while Emma was the daughter of Thomas.

James Nixon, age 40, son of James Nixon, married Eliza Steele, age 18, daughter of Charles Steele, on 26 Jan 1868 at Tankersley, Yorkshire, England. At the time, both were residents of Wortley.

He passed away in 3Q1904 at Wortley, Yorkshire, with his age at death reported as 72.
