Biography
Joseph Newton Jr was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
Birth
Joseph was born to Joseph Newton (senior) and Mary Redden in Pigareet, District of Springdallah, Victoria in1867.[1] (Pigareet is now known as Piggoreet.)
Joseph junior had several siblings. Some died in infancy. Two were born in England (the eldest died in infancy), before their parents migrated to Victoria.

Joe jnr married Emily Eliza Crewe in December of 1890, in Charters Towers, Colony of Queensland, Australia.[2]

Joseph and Emily had five children, all girls — Daisy, Stella, Doris Eva (Dolly), Violet and May.

Death and Burial
Joseph Newton (II) died in June of 1925, aged 57 years 11 months, [3] and was buried on the 17th June 1925 in the Belgian Gardens Cemetery, Townsville, Queensland, Australia; section F, subdivision 3, row 14, grave 331.[4][5]
