Obituary:
Elmo Neff, age 54, of 106 Magnolia Drive died suddenly yesterday about noon. He was working on an oil well near Parkersburg and was stricken and then rushed to Richland Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Funeral services in the Memorial Chapel of Summers Funeral Home with the Rev. Leroy J. Smith officiating. Entombment in Crest Haven Memorial Park.
Elmo was a native of Geff and was born there the son of Charles Roy Neff and Lorena C. Burkett Neff. He was married to Anna Shaw on Feb. 8, 1942. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Olney.
Mr. Neff worked in the oil fields area all of his lifetime and at the time of his death he was president of the Neff Well Services, a company he had owned and operated for the past ten years.
He leaves his wife, Anna and two children. Paul G. Neff of Terre Haute, Ind., and Deonn Wilson of Olney. He has four grandchildren. He also leaves the following sister and brothers; Mrs. Helen Cooper of Flora, Charles E. Neff of Florida, Harold Neff of Cisne, Raymond Neff of Crestline, Florida, Raleigh Neff of San Diego, Calif., Sam Neff of Casper, Wyo., William Neff of Plattsville, Colo. and Cecil Neff of Olney. His parents preceded him in death.
