Biography

Samuel was born in 1832.

In 1841 he was 8 years old living with his parents Samuel and Mary, an older brother William and a younger sister Mary in Hyde Lane, Stockport. [1]

Samuel Mutch married Elizabeth Whitworth in Stockport in February 1855. [2]

A daughter Annie Marie was born in 1858. [3]


In 1870 he was living with his wife and 4 children [4]

He passed away in 1870.[5] Killed while walking home from work with his dog. He and the dog were crossing a trestle when a train entered the trestle. In an attempt to save his dog he lost his life.
