Biography

Charles Murphy is a part of US Black heritage.

Charles Edward Murphy was born on 30 Oct 1940 in New York. He was the son of Henry Murphy and Rosa Boykins and the youngest of their six children.[1][2][3]

In 1960, he married Lillian Laney.[4] They had two sons, Charles Quinton Murphy and Eddie Murphy, who both became comedians. Charles and Lillian separated around 1964. Charles worked as a transit police officer.[5][6]

Charles was killed in Aug 1969.[1][6]
