Biography

John was born in 1788. He was the son of Charles Munt and Edith Impey. He was married to Jane Turner on 23rd October 1809. The marriage took place at Weston, Hertfordshire.

The 1841 census at Maiden Street, Hertfordshire has John and Jane (both aged 50) along with Fanny (25), Edith and Elizabeth, Mary, Edward and Sarah. [1]

The 1851 census at Weston has (Brick Layer) John (62) and Jane along with granddaughter, Elizabeth Stanly (born c. 1834, Weston) and Grandsons Walter (born c. 1836) and Abram (born c. 1843). [2]

He passed away about 1856.

Research Notes

A Walter Munt, son of Fanny Munt was christened at Weston on the 7th of August 1842. [3]

In the 1871 census at Clapham, Archer (Archie) was married to Sarah and living in the household of his mother-in-law, Maria (born c. 1820, Clapham). Maria had been married to George Hance (1820-1868) a son of Nelson and Sarah. George (Christened at Holy Trinity, Clapham on the 29th October, born 21st September 1820 [4]was the younger brother of Archer's father, William (Christened at Holy Trinity, Clapham on the 16th May 1819, born 30th March 1819 [5]).
