Willson of the Garrett Christian church in the presence of a few immediate relatives of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Motz proceeded at once to Goshen where they will make their home."

"DWIGHT L MOTZ IS DEAD AT 46; RITES AT CHURCH -- The death of Dwight L. Motz, 46, of 501 South Walsh street, Garrett, took place at the Sanders hospital in Auburn Tuesday at 6 a.m. from heart and lung trouble. Mr. Motz had been employed for the last five years as a foreman in the transformer division of the General Electric Co. in Fort Wayne. He was stricken very ill last Aug. 15 but was better for a period of six weeks afterward. Then he became very sick again and he was removed to the hospital Nov. 28. He was under an oxygen tent for more than a week. He was unconscious for five hours before his death. The body was removed to the Zimmerman funeral home in Garrett and services will be held at the Garrett Church of Christ Thursday at 2 p.m. The minister, E. Lacy Satterfield, will officiate and interment will be made in Woodlawn cemetery, Auburn. Mr. Motz was born at Markle, Ind., Feb. 3, 1901, and resided at Goshen and in Auburn before moving to Garrett 20 years ago. He was formerly an employe of the Auburn Automobile Co. He and Lucille Teeters of Garrett were married May 23, 1922. She survives, with one child, Betty Jane. Other survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Motz of Markle, and two brothers, Virgil Motz of Fort Wayne and Gerald Motz of South Bend. Another brother, Clyde, who lived at Bluffton, dropped dead from a heart attack four years ago while attending an ice show at Fort Wayne. Mr. Motz was a member of the Church of Christ in Garrett and the Loyal Men's Sunday school class. The first degree of the Masonic order had been conferred upon him by the Garrett lodge just before he became sick."
