Biography

Barbara Jane was born in August 1839, daughter of Levi Moser and Polly (Isley) Moser.

Barbara apparently never married. The 1860 census didn't find her. The 1870 census had her still in her parents' household. In the 1880 census, she lived with her sisters Sally (Sarah) Moser and Elizabeth Moser (soon to marry Robert Bain.)

She must have moved in with Eliza and her Bain family, perhaps once Sally passed away. But after Eliza died suddenly in 1898, she continued to live with the Bain family through the 1900 and 1910 censuses.

Barbara Jane passed away 13 July 1913, and was laid to rest in Linwood Cemetery, Graham, Alamance County, North Carolina, USA.
