Biography
Sir Edmund de Mortimer, 3rd Lord Mortimer, was born say 1306, son of Sir Roger de Mortimer of Wigmore, Herefs, and his wife Joan de Geneville.
He married Elizabeth de Badlesmere, one of the 4 daughters and co-heiresses of Sir Bartholomew de Badlesmere, by his wife Margaret de Clare, one of the 2 daughters (and eventual co-heiresses?) of Sir Thomas de Clare of Thomond.
They had 2 sons
- Sir Roger, 2nd Earl of March
- John
Sir Edmund died on 17 Dec 1331 at Stanton Lacy, near Ludlow, Shropshire.
