William Alexander arrived in South Australia during late 1857 with Jane, his brothers, David and Henry, and Henry's wife Margaret on the ship Lilius.[1]
William Alexander died in Bagot Well, South Australia on 11 January 1860 at the age of 40 years. The following death notice appeared in the South Australian newspaper, The Adelaide Observer, on 21 January 1860: [3]
