Biography
Robert Montgomery is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A214180.
Robert was born in Virginia between 1729 - 1750. He probably married (1) Mary White there ; probably m. (2) Elizabeth Tuggle.
Robert is found in Lancaster County, South Carolina by 1790. Unless he had a son named Robert whose records have been conflated with this Robert, he died there in 1929. (Proof?)
At any rate, there is a Robert Montgomery born about 1750 who died in 1812 in Natchez, Mississippi who may or may not be related. His wife at his death was named Margaret.[1]
