Fanny (Montgomery) Carter was born in 1886 in Arapohue, Kaipara, Northland, New Zealand, daughter of Thomas Montgomery and Alice Ann (Vincent) Montgomery.

Fanny married William Alexander Carter in 1915 .

Fanny died in 1969 in Arapohue aged ~83. She is buried in Arapohue Cemetery, Arapohue.
