Marie Élisabeth Montdor was born and baptized on 8 January 1755 in L'Ancienne-Lorette, daughter of Jean François Linéard dit Mondor and of Ursule Gauvin (listed as Allain on the record in error)[1]
Jean Blanchard, resident of Nouvelle-Acadie, son of Jean Blanchard and Marguerite Girouard, married Élisabeth Léonard dite Mondor, daughter of Jean François Léonard dit Mondor and of Ursule Gauvin, on 5 February 1776 in Lavaltrie.[2]
The family is first found in St-Jacques-de-l'Achigan, where numerous returning Acadians settled, then later in L'Assomption.
13 known children from this marriage, 5 known to marry and 7 to die young.[3]
Élisabeth Lionard dite Mondor, wife of Jean Blanchard, died on 23 February 1817 and was buried on the 25th in L'Assomption, the record giving her around 60 years of age.[4]
