"OBITUARY.—On Saturday morning last at 3 o'clock the death occurred of an old and respected resident in the person of Mrs P. Mealy, of Cotter Street, Port Augusta. Deceased who was 63 years of age was a native of Scotland. She leaves a husband and a number of ems and daughters to mourn their loss. The daughters are—Mrs George and Mrs A. Meseche of Port Pirie, and Mrs J. Holdsworth, Mrs T. G. Gibson and Mrs J. Absalom of Port Augusta. The sons—Peter, Alec, and Andrew, are well-known residents of this town. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon last, the burial service being conducted by Mr J. Holds worth in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives."[1]
