Biography
Alexander McNaughton was born circa 1789[1], the son of Ian and Catherine McNaughton of Glenlyon, Perthshire, Scotland[2]
Alexander's widowed mother emigrated to New Brunswick circa 1817, along with several siblings , and settled at Black River[2]. Alexander followed with his family in 1824[1][3]
On January 8, 1817, he married Janet Jack, daughter of John Jack[4][5][2][6], and their children included:
Christina, born October 18, 1822[9], who married Jubal Watling[10][6]

His widow, Janet (Jack) McNaughton died March 21, 1872[5]
