Tara Correa-McMullen was an American actror. She played gang member Graciela Reyes on the CBS TV series "Judging Amy".[1]
Shalvah Bitcah McMullen was born at 7 p.m. on May 24, 1989 in Westminster Station, Windham County, Vermont, United States, the daughter of Thomas Raymond McMullen and Mary Devra Correa née Brown.[2][3]
After moving to Southern California, she attended first the Claremont Middle School and later Venice High School, where she was a member of the school's choir.
Tara was an aspiring actress who earned the role of "Big Mac" in the 2005 movie Rebound when her mother, who was working for a casting company at the time, recommended her daughter for the role. Rebound was a decided flop, with many critics saying such things as there wasn't anything that hadn't already been done by the movie The Bad News Bears (and other derivatives). Financially, the movie was a disaster. It was to be Tara's only movie role. After Rebound, she won the part of recurring character gang member "Graciela Reyes" on the television series Judging Amy (which had begun in 1999).
Tara Correa-McMullen was killed in a gang shooting on October 21, 2005 in Inglewood, Los Angeles, California, United States, aged 16 years, and just three months after the release of Rebound.
She was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills.[4]
