Biography
William McCracken was born in Tullygarley in 1888. He is the son of William McKane a linen manufacturer and Margaret Shaw. [1]
In 1901 the siblings are living in Tullygarley Upper (both parents had died), Maggie 25, Robert 23, Mary 20, Lizzie 15 and William 12. Robert is a solicitor and the three youngest are scholars.[2]
Research
There is a possible marriage in 1917 to a widow Dora Irvine nee Mullen in Belfast. William is a labourer, 14 Main St Belfast with a father Robert so unlikely.[3]
