James was born 13 July 1870 at 14 Little Henry St, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland. His parents were called James Maxwell, labourer, and Mary Shaw. [1]
Research Notes
He cannot be the son of James Maxwell (1847-1916), farmer, and Mary Ann (Shaw) Maxwell (abt.1850-1923), because his birth is less than 6 months from that couple's son Thomas born 5 July 1871.
