Susannah was the daughter of William Matthews and Mary. She is listed in William's will of 1757 as Susannah Coffey. His wife's name is listed as Mary Matthews in the Christ Church Parish, Middlesex County, Virginia christening records for children Ann in 1705, Susanna in 1706, and Samuel in 1707.
Shown on 1790 census as head of household.
Listed on Prince Edward County tax list until 1796.
After 1796, taxes were charged to "Susannah Coffee's" estate.
