Nazaire Matte was born in Escabana, Michigan on 22 Apr 1901. He was the son of Nazaire Matte and Mélina Caron. He made his living as a barber. He died in an automobile accident in Montreal on 31 Mar 1960. He is buried in Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges in Montreal.
