Aeneas Macbean Sr. was born June 13, 1820 in the parish of Ardclach, Nairnshire, Scotland, son of the Rev. Hugh Macbean of Ardclach and Ann (Fraser) MacBean. Aeneas was christened August 10, 1820 at Ardclach, Nairn, Scotland. [1]
Aeneas Mcbean belonged to Society of Writers to H.M. Signet he was apprentice to Aeneas Macbean W.S., his uncle. He married Mary Ann Gordon,15 April 1852, Mary Ann, second daughter of Harry Gordon of Liverpool. The marriage was filed by the Circuit Clerk of Justiciary, 1864. [2]
Aeneas died at the age of 70 years and was buried in 1899 in the Dean cemetery, in Edinburgh, Lothian, Scotland [3]
