Robert Baillie Lusk, who first arrived in New Zealand, was originally of Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
His wife Jessie Lusk, née Hart, had died in 1841.
In 1849 along with his five surviving children, Robert Baillie Lusk emigrated to New Zealand. The five children were: Robert, Jr (25), Jessie Hart (19), Daniel Henderson (16), Hugh Hart (11), and Isabella Mary (9). The family arrived in New Zealand, onboard the Ship "Thames".
He died on 6 September 1891 at Auckland, aged 93. He was buried in Mount Victoria Cemetery, Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand. Plot: 186.[1]
