Sister of Sir William Lucy; Eleanor Hopton and Alice Lucy[3]
G. A. Moriarty wrote, in his article on the Early Pedigree of Vaux of Harrowden (1920-1922 p.105):[3]
"Sir William Vaux, son of Sir William Vaux and Maud, daughter and heiress of Sir Geoffrey Lucy, Knt., was born about 1435, as is shewn by the Chancery Inquisition Post Mortem of Sir William Lucy, Knt., his uncle (Chancery I.P.M., I. Edw. IV., file 1, No. 16). Here it is stated that William Vaux, Esq., son of Maud, a sister of Sir William Lucy, is one of his heirs and next-of-kin, aged 24 years and more."
Research notes
Dates to be verified - do not match, note other sources give 3 children not one son:
Maud Lucy, married about 1430 William Vaux, Knt., son and heir of William Vaux, by Eleanor, daughter and heiress of Thomas Drakelow. They had one son William, Knt. His wife, Maud, died before 1460. Sir William Vaux died shortly before 26 August 1460.

This profile is in a Richardson-documented trail between Gateway Ancestor John Oxenbridge and Magna Carta surety baron William de Mowbray (MCA III:289-294 OXENBRIDGE) that needs development by the Magna Carta Project. If there are no objections, I will soon be adding the project as co-manager of this profile and will add a project box and project section to the biography. This profile still needs to be developed against the project's checklist. Thanks!
