Biography

From the Lord Family genealogical notes of my great grandfather Issac Purl Lord (1858-1942):

• Abraham (2) Lord was of Berwick Maine and his widow "Susanna" was, with his son William (3), engaged in the settlement of his estate. His inventory taken on 27 November 1705. ^[1] William Lord his son died soon afterward and the widow "Susanna" Lord married secondly. M. the 29th of August A. D. 1714 Robert Knight, and he was of York Me - as surmised - had been previously married and had, as has been asserted, children. No (other) issue of Abraham Lord is presumed. The maiden name of "Sussana" has not been ascertained after long research. Abraham Lord was mentioned in the will of his brother Nathan (2).
