Rosa was born in Maryland in about 1889.[1] She was the daughter of Julius Loose and Maria Haraldsdotter.[1] In 1900, Rosa lived with her parents in Baltimore, Maryland.[2] About 1906, Rosa married Bernhard Schwanewede.[3] In 1910, Rosa and her husband lived in Baltimore, with two daughters, Marie and Ella, and Rosa's parents.[3] Rosa and her husband continued to reside in Baltimore in 1920, with Marie, Ella and another daughter, Agnes.[4]
