Biography
James married Martha Calhoun about 1808 in South Carolina. They had six children: Priscilla "Lollie" Logan, Eliza, William Clement, Clemens, and Mary A. D. Logan.
James was the only one of his siblings to leave South Carolina. He made the move to Alabama with several cousins, the sons and daughters of brother, Andrew Logan. James purchased about 98 acres of land from the U. S. Land Office, St. Stephens District, in June of 1826.
Martha Calhoun Logan, his wife, died in 1852. Their son, Clemons, was the executor of his mother's estate. Clemons died just a few years after his mother. Only two of their daughters, Priscilla and Mary lived to a more advanced age
