Soong Seung "Song" "Soon" Myung Lee was born on the 3rd of July 1876, in Seoul, South Korea.[1][2][3][4][5] His parents were Yi Sung-kun and Yi Mary.[6] In 1920 he stated that he had migrated in 1905.
Soon married Merrine "Minnie" "Remedios" (Gomez) Lee on the 26th of January 1914 in the Church of the Good Shepherd in Maui, Hawaii.[6] They had received their license to marry two days before.[7]
Soon was said to be thirty-eight when the 1920 census was taken.[8] He was living on Vineyard Street in Wailuku, and working as a sewing machine salesman.[8] Minnie, twenty-three,[8] took care of the home and family. Antonio (5), Angelo "Hanky" (4), Frank (2) and Silvanda "Sybil" (2 mos.) stayed at home.
Soon was still in Wailuku in 1930, and stated that he was fifty-years old (gaining two extra years since the last census). His parents were both born in Korea, he was also born in Korea, he could not read or write, and he didn't own a radio set (considered a luxury item).[9] Soon was still selling sewing machines.[9] Minnie, now thirty-one, stated she and her parents were born in Spain.[9] Soon, Minnie, Antonio (15), Angel (14), Frank (13), and Sybil (11) could all read and write. Violet (9) and Alfonso (6) attended school, but could not read and write.[9] Evelyn (4) and Shirley (1) did not attend school.[9] Per the census record they both had alien status and were naturalized.[9]
Antonio James "Anthony" "Tony" Lee b. 16 Mar 1915
Angelo A "Hankie" "Angel" Lee b. 19 Aug 1916, m. Momi
Frances Chayoung "Frank" Lee b. 12 Apr 1917, m. Evelyn Oshie Honda
Silvanda "Sybil" (Lee) Watai b. 12 Mar 1919, m. Joseph Watai
Violet Janet "Vi" (Lee) Silva b. 27 Jan 1921, m. Edward Silva
Alfonso Juan Lee b. 15 Oct 1923
Evelyn Faith Lee b. 29 Sep 1925
Shirley (Lee) Lum Ho b. 13 May 1928, m. Corporal Joseph Kuala "Joe" Lum Ho, Jr.
Soon was listed as sixty-five years old in the 1940 census (gaining five extra years this time).[10] Minnie was age forty,[10] and took care of the home. Angel (24) was working as a lineman for the telephone company.[10] Frank (23) was working as a taxicab driver.[10] Alfonso (16) did not attend school, and worked as an electrician for a private power plant.[10] Evelyn (15) and Shirley (11) both attended school.[10] Tony, Sybil and Vi had married and started families of their own.
Soon was not living with Minnie when the 1950 census was taken.[11]. He was in Maui, and listed as seventy-three years old, Korean, married, and head of household.[11] Minnie was listed as the head of her own household in Maui.[12] It states correctly that she was born in Spain.[12] Her race is listed as Caucasian, while Evelyn's is listed as Korean.[11] Evelyn was working as a secretary at an auto sales company.[12]
Soon died on the 25th of March 1963 in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii.
I haven't found him yet in the 1950 census. I believe his wife Minnie was living separately, as a Minnie Lee is found in Maui, age 50 with her 23-year-old daughter Evelyn. (Silva-1055 02:31, 2 April 2022 (UTC)) I did find him but Minnie was definitely living elsewhere in Maui. The notation on the bottom of his census sheet says "not living with wife."(Silva-1055 02:58, 2 April 2022 (UTC))
Possible migration: (born 1876)

Song Lee, born 1878, migrated 1917, age 39, citizen of China (would he be?) FamilySearch record
(More likely) Sang Lee, born 1878, age 26, Born Korea FamilySearch record (no image) Note: This 'immigration' date is 1904, but it is an alien case file, not a migration record. His parents were not listed. His 1920 census states he migrated in 1905, so 1904 could be correct.
Note that Minnie's name in 1920 was listed as Dromania. My mom knew Minnie, and she was Song's only known wife.(Silva-1055)

In case you want to add any Korean names in the fields…. This is Seung Myung 승명 and this is Lee 이 (It’s actually just "E"… Koreans usually transliterate it as Lee or Yi) Song is 송 and Soon is 순. I don’t know enough about common first names of that time to guess which was most likely to show up in his earliest records.
