Lilla M. Leavitt was the daughter of Milton Leavitt and Samantha Jane (Nash) Leavitt, with whom she was living (as Lillie M. Leavitt) at Livermore, Maine, in 1880 at the age of five.[1] The 1900 Census gives her birth date as October 1874.[2] Her death record says she was born on 15 Oct 1874.[3]
Marriage
Lilla M. Leavitt, 22, and Henry L. Nason, shoemaker, 26, both of Auburn, Maine published at Auburn their intention to marry on 1 Jan 1897, and they married there on 6 Jan 1897.[4] In 1900, they were living at Auburn, married for three years with no children.[2]
Death
In 1940, Lilla M. Nason was living at the age of 65 as a widow at Auburn, Maine, and working as a fancy stitcher in a show factory.[5] Lilla M. Nason died at Auburn, Maine, at the age of 89 on 10 Jan 1964,[6] with her birth date shown as 15 Oct 1874.[3] A gravestone in the plot of her parents at the Lakeside Cemetery in Livermore, Maine, is inscribed with the dates 1874-1964.[7]
