Biography

Elisabeth was baptized on 28 September 1712. Her baptism was recorded in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York. Kingston baptism notice Sept. 28 1712, #2070 in Hoes, lists her parents as Andries Le-Feber and Cornelia Blans-Jan. Witnesses were Jan Le-Feber, Marytjen Le-Feber, and Elisabet Blans-Jan.^[1]

Research Notes

LNAB: The baptism record calls her father Le-Feber. Many entries in the register for that time period include hyphens. Since they tend to be inside names that are normally rendered as just one word (for example, Kort-regt and Vreeden-burg), I think we should omit the hyphen and treat this name as "LeFeber." - Smith-62120 17:07, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
